Welcome to the MS III cadet page of the Bison Battalion

Dan Faulkner MSIII

Like many people, I was born at a young age and was given the name Cadet Dan Faulkner.  I grew up like many people progressing through my ages and realized, “Hey, the military really interests me and I can go to college at the same time.”  And I said to myself, “Yes, that’s what I will do.” I originally hail from Hilliard, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio.  Making the journey to Fargo my freshman year was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life, and I can thank the Bison Battalion for helping me through it. On a more serious note, I joined the Army from influence from my stepdad, retired First Sergeant Bryan Radcliffe.  He actually was a cadre member here at the Bison Battalion a long time ago.  The Army was always a dream of mine, and this was a way to make myself proud, my family proud, and most of all my country proud.  The Bison Battalion has taught me substantial life and leadership skills.  Looking back on my younger years in college, I cannot imagine what it would’ve been like without the help from the Bison Battalion.  Sure, I’m still just a regular college student on the outside, but deep down members of this organization gain much more for life by being a part of it.  I can honestly say joining the Army, and joining Army ROTC have been the best decisions of my life.
