Army ROTC offers a varitey of scholarships paying up to 100% of tuition for any school in the Tri-College program
Click any of the tabs below to find out more.
The Active Duty scholarship is a 1-4 year full tuition scholarship. Along with the full tuition paid, you will receive the following:
Up to $500 per mo. stipend
$1200 per yr. book allowance
A commission into the United States Army as an active duty 2nd Lieutenant with an annual civilian equivalent income of $45,000
Health care, dental, life insurance covered once commissioned
The NG/RES scholarships will pay full tuition. With a contract with the Minnesota Nation Guard or North Dakota Nation Guard each offers full tuition assistance on top of the ROTC scholarship, which you can then use for room and board or other expenses
If you are already a member of the National Guard or Reserves you can still seek a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant, while staying with your unit and getting paid
As a SMP (Simultaneous Membership Program) cadet you participate in ROTC classes and activities, but will also maintain your NG/RES requirements, such as monthly drill, and receive pay as an E-5
When accepting a scholarship you are entering into a contract with the United States Government for a commitment of (8) years
(4) years will be either Active Duty or National Guard/Reserve duty, depending on your contract
The remaining 4 will be either in IRR (inactive ready reserve) meaning you give your contact information to a reserve unit in your area in case of a recall. Or join a National Guard/Reserve unit and continue to drill once a month
